Error -44016

Itunes version (11.3.1.2)

I changed my password through link and still getting these two messages on iTunes via Mac 10.9.5
My user name/pw is correct as I can log into Amazon or audible and i’ve downloaded the files via my iPhone. Please correct.

"could not authorize this computer because either your username or password are invalid”
"could not authorize this computer because an error occured (-44016)"
